The feast of St Cecilia was celebrated with great joy and devotion by Konkani stage artists, musicians and people from all walks of life at the Our Lady of Rosary Church, Navelim, on Saturday. Parish Priest Fr Gabriel Coutinho was the main celebrant at the feast Mass. St Cecilia is widely respected as the Patron Saint of Musicians.
President of the Konkani Non-Stop Tiatristanchi Saustha, Arnold Costa, thanked members of the tiatr fraternity for attending the Mass. He also expressed gratitude to Fr Gabriel Coutinho for his support in organising the feast every year. Well-known tiatr personalities, including Roseferns, Sammy Tavares, Lawry Travasso, Antonetta de Maina and Jesus Antao, shared their greetings on the occasion.
