Tiatr Swachh Bharat on Dec 21
PANAJI: Swachh Bharat, the first tiatr venture of Romeo D’Costa as writer-cum-director and of Santiago A Lobo as producer will be staged on December 21, at Confraria Hall, next to Sucorro Church, Sucorro, Porvorim, at 7.30 pm.
The message of the Konkani play is that mere external exercise like clearing heaped up garbage and cleaning toilets is not enough to build a clean India. Instead, a deep moral reformation is needed at the basic level to promote moral values, like respect for women and quest for social justice.
The main cast consists of Augustine Mascarenhas, Maria Afonso, Joe and Martha, supported by Efifanio, Nikita and Rosario. The comedians include Felcy, Valentino and Bledwin. Singers include Bledwin, Valencio, Sharon and Cajitan.
