Tivim locals brave rains to attend AAP s corner meet

An Aam Aadmi Party corner meeting created ripples in Bodiem-Tivim on wet Tuesday evening with a worried opposition using strong arm tactics to disrupt the meet. Armed with umbrellas and rain coats, over 100 local residents braved the rains and attended an AAP corner meeting organized at in Bodiem almost three kms away from the main Tivim state highway.

Besides the residents from the area, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Sarpanch Sharon D Souza and Sirsaim Panch Maria D Souza and former panch Victoria Sequeira. Fr Michael, AAP coordinator of Mormugao, informed the gathering about the misgovernance of the BJP-led government in the State. He also described how a corrupt Congress government was booted out by the Goans in 2012 and gave a mandate to BJP expecting better results.

TCP to issue zoning certificate with full details

Taking cognizance of the fact that zoning certificates currently being issued don t give clear picture about the nature of various categories of land in a plot or property, the TCP Department has issued directions to its district and taluka level offices to indicate approximate areas under each zone, where ever a survey number has multiple zones.
