The Cavelossim Panchayat has put in place several steps to manage traffic and parking during Christmas and New Year, with the support of hotels and resorts in the area.
Sarpanch Dixon Vaz on Wednesday inspected the arrangements at Mobor to prevent congestion as large numbers of visitors are expected at the beach during the festive season.
He said that, at his initiative, hotels and resorts have agreed to support the traffic plan along the Mobor road. The hotels will also deploy their security guards outside their premises to ensure proper parking and smooth movement of vehicles.
The sarpanch appealed to visitors coming to Cavelossim and Mobor during Christmas and New Year to cooperate with the system put in place by the panchayat in coordination with the hotels.
