A day after The Goan highlighted the toilet that was constructed on the banks of the Dongorim rivulet, the open toilet was dismantled from the banks.
It may be recalled that AAP leader Ramrao Wagh had voiced opposition to the construction of the open toilet on the banks of the rivulet, with its outlet connected straight to the waters.
“The rivulet is used for fishing activities by the locals,” Wagh had pointed out and had demanded that it be demolished.
Wagh had alleged that the contractor building the Dongorim bridge was supposed to provide all facilities to workers from a sanitation point of view, but had built a temporary toilet with an outlet connected to the rivulet.
