Popular Kannada actor Diganth Manchale (38), who was on a vacation in Goa with his family, was seriously injured while attempting a somersault on the Vagator beach.
The incident happened when the family had gone to the beach.
The injured actor was first rushed to a hospital in the State for treatment and later airlifted to the Manipal hospital in Bengaluru for further treatment.
Sources in Anjuna police informed that the actor suffered injuries to his neck and back.
Meanwhile, Manipal Hospital has released a hand-out stating that the star was admitted in the hospital post a sports injury he suffered.
“He is undergoing further evaluation. The medical team is taking all care to ensure his speedy recovery. We would be releasing further updates on his clinical condition,” said Dr Shankar B C, Head, Medical Services, Manipal Hospital.
