Tony non-committal on vacating St Cruz seat for Monserrate
Santa Cruz legislator Antonio Fernandes aka Tony has refused to rule out resigning to vacate his seat for "good friend" Atanasio "Babush" Monserrate saying that Monserrate is yet to speak to him.Speaking to The Goan, Fernandes said that "as of now he is a Congressman".

PANAJI: "Babush has not spoken to me since yesterday and till date he has not raised this issue with me," Fernandes said. When asked if he would resign if Babush asks him to, Fernandes remained non committal saying: "Babush is my good friend." "I cannot comment on this because Babush is yet to speak to me. As of today I am a Congressman," Fernandes said.
A waste water pool has been welcoming Madgavkars in particular and Shastikars in general to the commercial capital since the last few days, but no agency - the Margao municipality or the powers that be - has stepped in to plug the waste water discharge and save the citizens from the nuisance and health hazard.
