PANAJI:
Hundreds of cars were caught up in a traffic jam between Guirim and Porvorim Tisk on Tuesday evening.
Frustrated commuters stuck for hours in the jam bitterly criticised the district administration and police for not being able to regulate the smooth flow of traffic.
“Where is the disaster management team? No police in sight. One bout of heavy showers have led to a major traffic disruption,” said former State Information Commission Juino De Souza, who was stuck in a traffic jam for over an hour.
“I called the police control also but to no avail,” he said.
