Truck driver looted at Quepem
CURCHOREM: Two unidentified persons assaulted and exhorted money from a truck driver near Quepem bridge on Wednesday night.
Speaking to The Goan, Quepem PSI Harish Raut Dessai said the incident occurred at about 11.50 pm when the two unidentified persons on a scooter stopped the truck (KA-25-C-4053) near Quepem bridge.
“The accused assaulted the truck driver Mardan Ali Basti from Kopal-Karnataka and forcefully took cash of Rs 10,000 from him,” said the police.
PSI Dessai further said Quepem Police registered the case under Sections 504, 427, 392 r/w 34 of IPC. PSI Harish Raut Dessai is investigating the case.
