Police nab a person found in the heritage house at Old Market area.
MARGAO: The Fatorda police on Friday arrested two persons who were found inside an old unoccupied heritage house at the Holy Spirit square at Old Market.
The duo was spotted inside the heritage house. Suspecting that the two accused had entered the house with the motive of committing theft, the Fatorda police were called to investigate the matter.
Margao Municipal ward Councilor Vitorino Tavares said the Old market area had witnessed a number of thefts including the theft at the Old market Chapel, as he demanded thorough investigation into the matter.
Fatorda police station in charge PI Kapil Nayak informed that the police have taken the duo into custody under preventive detention.
He said the police would investigate the role of the suspects, if any, into theft cases.
