Colvale police arrested a 35-year-old man from Hubballi but residing in Cansa-Tivim on charges of injuring a woman in an attempted robbery at her house in Tuwarwaddo, Chikhali-Colvale.
According to Colvale police, the incident took place on the night of July 21, when the accused the accused, Deepak Jo Solomon, broke into the complainant's house by removing the roof tiles.
The woman, Teresa Paul (67), was awakened by the noise and the accused is allegedly to have assaulted her, causing her shoulder injuries. He then threw her on the ground and fled from the site.
Colvale police, however, arrested him on Friday afternoon based on description provided by Paul. PSI Mandar Parab is further investigating the case under the supervision of Colvale PI Vijaykumar Chodankar.
