Two held for trespass, theft

MAPUSA: Two persons were arrested on charges of trespass and theft of scrap material worth Rs 7.36 lakh on Thursday.

Uday Singh of Dangui Colony, Mapusa, filed a complaint at the Mapsua Police Station stating that the accused from Duler-Mapusa along with his associates had criminally trespassed into a disputed property, where the complainant was running a business of scrap, and wrongfully restrained him by fencing the property and stole away scrap material worth Rs 7.36 lakh.

Acting on the complaint, Mapusa Police arrested Abdul Khan of Betim and Angod Kashyap, a native of Ghazipur, UP under section 447, 341, 379 of IPC.

Mapusa Police is investigating the case.
