Two held for violating Copyrights Act

Two held for violating Copyrights Act MARGAO: The Margao town police have arrested two persons, who are suspected to have violated the Copyrights Act.

According to Margao police, acting on the complaint filed by the manager of a music company, one Leon Joseph, who claimed that some shops were indulging in sale of a video song of his company in gross violation of the Copyrights Act, the police raided the two shops at Gandhi Market and arrested two persons.

Police claimed to have seized two computers, one each from these shops.

A case under Sections 51, 63, 65, 68 (A), 64 of the Copyrights Act, 1957 has been registered.
