Two houses burgled in Colmorod

Miscreants burgled two houses at Colmorod on Sunday night, decamping with a laptop, gold ornaments and other valuables.
In the first case, victim Ram Sajan informed that the miscreants effected entry into his house by breaking the latch of the door when the inmates were asleep inside. When Ram woke up at around 5 am, he found the door open. His worst fears came true when he found the laptop missing and the gold ornaments of his wife missing. A complaint was later lodged with the Margao police.
In another incident in the same Colmorod locality, miscreants burgled a house belonging to one Sofia Banu. The miscreants made away with a bag containing gold ornaments, besides important documents, including ATM card. Before the residents could realise that the house has been burgled, the miscreants had already withdrawn Rs 20,000 by using the stolen ATM card, sources said.
Separate complaints have been lodged with the Margao police.
