Anti Narcotics Cell of Goa Police on Thursday conducted a raid at Khorlim, Mapusa, arresting two persons aged 19 and 20 years. Narcotic substance weighing 1.4 kg suspected to be ganja approximately worth Rs one lakh in the international market was seized from their possession.
Acting on prior information, the ANC team led by sub-inspector Satish Padwalkar along with two panchas raided the area near a car parking shed at Sattingadwado, Khorlim and caught the accused Sahil Abdul Nadal (19) and Imam Dadapir Dodamani (20) red-handed.
The car park adjoining a local provisional store was also searched in continuation of the raid.
While Nadal was found in possession of 1.375 kg of suspected ganja, a mobile phone and cash amount of Rs 670, the other accused, Dodamani was caught with 165 gms of suspected ganja, a mobile phone and Rs 2,980. The duo have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
