Around 15,000 applications have been received for undergraduate admissions across 40 government and aided colleges for the academic year 2026–27.

The centralised admission process, which began on March 23, will continue until April 13. The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) is accepting applications online.

More than 16,000 students cleared their Class 12 exams in 2026. Candidates must apply through the Samarth e-Gov portal available on the DHE website.

Sources said that about 15,000 applications have already been submitted, with the deadline for online applications set for midnight on April 13.

Undergraduate programmes on offer include BA, BCom, BSc, music, theatre, home science, BVoc, BCA, BBA, BA BEd, BSc BEd, BPEd, BA LLB and BSc Agriculture.

Colleges offering BBA and BCA courses will conduct offline entrance exams for applicants. However, each candidate must register only once on the Samarth e-Gov portal.

Applicants can choose up to five colleges or programmes. They may also apply for multiple courses within the same college. The merit lists and counselling process will be handled by the respective colleges.
