CANACONA
A 75-year-old UK national was found dead in a rented room at Colomb-Canacona on Tuesday.
According to Canacona police, the decomposed body of Christopher Williams was found on the bed in the room he had rented for about a month.
Canacona police further informed that the room door was locked from the inside and no foul play was suspected.
The UK national is believed to have died at least two-three days ago while resting on the bed. A single traveller, Williams was a regular visitor to India and used to stay for months together in Goa, particularly in Canacona’s coastal area.
Police sent the body for a post-mortem and notified the UK embassy about the same, informing Canacona PSI Ajit Velip.
