UP youth dies in Bethora accident

PONDA: A motorcyclist hailing from Uttar Pradesh was killed in a road accident at Bondbhag-Bethora, after he was knocked down by a tipper truck on Saturday afternoon.

According to Ponda police, the accident took place along an internal road at Bondbhag, when Ajay Kumar (25) was proceeding from Bondbhaag towards Bethora on his motorcycle (GA-05-C-4080). He was knocked down by the oncoming tipper truck (GA-04-T-5533).

Sources informed that Kumar sustained severe injuries and was first rushed to the Sub District Hospital at Ponda, from where he was moved to the Goa Medical College, where he breathed his last. Ponda police is investigating the case.
