Here’s good news amidst the sizzling summer heat. Goa’s official weatherman has predicted pre-monsoon showers post May 20, a couple of weeks before the full-scale lashing of the State begins.

Speaking to The Goan, State Meteorological Centre Director VK Mini said, “Usually the monsoon season begins in the State on June 6 and we receive pre-monsoon showers nearly 15 days prior to the onset of monsoon. So, this year too we expect the State to receive pre-monsoon showers post May 20.”
