In SC, Goa to fight for student parity
PANAJI
The Goa Government has taken the stand that students who have answered NEET-I or the first phase of the NEET exam be also allowed to answer NEET-II which is slated for July this year on grounds that the students did not have much time to prepare for the exam held on May 1.
Goa filed an application in the Supreme Court on Monday, requesting that parity should be given to Goan students to appear for NEET on July 24 so that they can give a shot at both NEET and the GCET.
“The matter has been heard partly and has been kept for Thursday. Goa’s turn will come as per the list,” Advocate General Atmaram Nadkarni said.
The State of Karnataka and Christian Medical College, Vellore have argued their case in the Supreme Court.
