Pune native arrested in flesh trade case
PANAJI: In yet another successful raid conducted by the Crime Branch of Goa Police on Saturday evening, one Rohit Saxena, a native of Pune, was arrested for running an online prostitution racket, ‘Goa Pleasant Escort Services.’
Two girls, one from Pune and the other from Delhi, both between the age group of 20 to 25 years were rescued from Saxena’s Arpora guest house, where they were kept as tenants.
A Crime Branch team led by PI Virendra Veluskar and accompanied by members of NGO Savera raided the spot after initially laying a trap on NH-17.
An offence has been registered under Section 4 (living on the earnings of prostitution), 5 (Procuring, inducing or taking person for the sake of prostitution) and 7 (prostitution in or in the vicinity of public place) of Immoral Trafficking and Prevention Act and under Section 370 (buying or disposing of any person as a slave) of IPC.
This is the second raid on an online prostitution racket by the Crime Branch in the month of April.
