Usgao man dies in accident

PONDA: A 44-year-old motorcycle rider from Tamdighat-Usgao died of injuries he had sustained in a road accident at Par Khandepar, Ponda.

According to Ponda Police, Devendra Kerkar was proceeding on his motorcycle (GA-05-K-1916) from Khandepar towards Tisk-Usgao.

As he was overtaking a crane (GA-05-B-2356) at Par Khandepar, he lost control of the motorcycle and dashed against an oncoming scooter (GA-04-K-2133).

Kerkar succumbed to injuries on the way to GMC Hospital in Bambolim. Ponda police is investigating the case.
