V M Salgaocar Corp donates ambulance to Parra panchayat

VMSalgaocar Corporation Pvt Ltd under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative donated a ambulance to Village Panchayat of Parra which would aid in the provision of better medical and relief services to people of Parra, Anjuna, Assagao and surrounding villages. The ambulance service was inaugurated on June 20 by State Cabinet Minister for Ports, Science and Technology and Waste Management, Michael Lobo and other dignitaries.

Dattaraj Salgaocar, Chairman of VMSalgaocar Corporation Pvt. Ltd stated that “As a value-based organisation, VMSalgaocar Corporation Pvt. Ltd. is committed to continuing making a meaningful contribution towards the welfare of the society. The ambulance will give locals access to medical services on time.” Michael Lobo thanked the company for its gesture. 

During the devastating 2nd Covid wave recently VMSalgaocar and its sister concerns donated critical life-saving medical equipment such as ventilators and oxygen concentrators to various State-run medical institutions. The company has also encouraged its employees to get vaccinated at the earliest wherever possible and will be reimbursing the cost of vaccination of its employees, spouses and their children above 18 wherever applicable.
