A Covid vaccination centre has been opened at the Mae Dos Pobres school, Nuvem on Wednesday for the benefit of citizens in the age group of 45 years and above.
Nuvem MLA Wilfred D’Sa informed that he would place his vehicle at the disposal of the people for to and fro transportation from their place of residence to the vaccination centre.
The Nuvem MLA said that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has also promised to start vaccination for people above 18 of years age in the near future. “Since we had vaccination camps across Nuvem constituency which had evoked good response, I approached the Chief Minister with a request to open a vaccination centre in Nuvem, which was immediately sanctioned”, he said.
The MLA thanked the doctors and paramedics attached to the Loutolim Health Centre for deploying the staff for the Nuvem vaccination centre.
Nuvem Sarpanch Filipa Barretto, Colva ZP member Vania Baptista, former ZP member Nelly Rodigues and priests attached to the Nuvem Church were present during the inauguration.
