Cow snared in hunter's trap

A cow belonging to a farmer from Bambar-Sattari died after it got caught in a trap laid by a hunter.

According to sources, the cow belonging to Vishnu Joshi was grazing near a field in the open area where it got entangled in a knot that was set up using a two-wheeler cable, and was found dead two days ago.

Sources further informed that similar incidents have taken place in the past wherein farmers have lost their cattle in such types of traps in Sattari.

Meanwhile, farmers in Sattari have complained that their crops have been destroyed by wild animals. They claimed that hunters take this opportunity to trap the wild animals, especially near fields by planting such traps.
