Vasco-based engineer Bharat Kamat was recently awarded the IGBC Green Fellow award at a ceremony during the IGBC national conference at Hyderabad.
The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) was formed in 2001 and is today a national leader having 95% of the green building footprint in India.
Kamat was recognised for his achievements in protecting and enhancing the environment through his continuous promotion of green buildings as a way of construction.
Kamat is a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering (India). He is a Government of India approved valuer and a fellow member of the Institution of Valuers in India. Bharat is currently the Chairman of the Indian Green building Council’s Goa Chapter.
Kamat is a Director in Kamat Infra Tech Pvt Ltd providing provide consultancy services in planning, designing and executing construction projects, including industrial, commercial and housing projects.
Kamat provides green building services to to develop green buildings and to help achieve the desired Green certifications.
