VASCO
Minority chairman of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Nazir Khan on Tuesday accused the BJP of failing to take up development in Vasco in the last 10 years.
Speaking to reporters, Khan said the proposed chief officer’s bungalow, a prestigious Golden Jubilee Celebration project of the Chief Officer bungalow and a dream project of former CM late Manohar Parrikar, had turned into a urinal spot for tourists and a scrapyard for the old vehicles of the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC).
“Despite funds made available to the MMC, this project has not seen the light of the day for the last 10 years," said Khan.
"We feel that Vasco is jinxed. We have seen how the KTC bus stand, fire station, old powerhouse project and the chief officer’s bungalow has been pending since the last 10 years.”
“Despite having a BJP MLA who heads the KTC, the KTC bus stand has been pending for 10 years.”
