In celebration of World Youth Skills Day, Vedanta Sesa Goa highlighted its extensive youth empowerment initiatives, which have benefited over 100,000 youth across various states. With the theme ‘Youth Skills for Peace and Development’, this year’s event emphasized the significant role of young people in societal advancement. Vedanta Sesa Goa has been pivotal in fostering youth development through skill-building, educational support, and community engagement.
Aligning with the ‘Skill India’ vision and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, Vedanta Sesa Goa collaborates with entities like the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to tailor training programmes to market needs. A key initiative, the Sesa Technical School (STS) in Sanquelim, has provided near 100% placement for its students since its inception in 1994, training approximately 2,000 individuals in trades such as machinist, fitter, and electrician.
