Benaulim MLA-elect, Venzy Viegas on Sunday promised former Sports Minister Monte Cruz to take his vision forward and ensure that every household in Benaulim gets power and water connection.
“Today is a sentimental moment for me as I have come to reassure Monte Cruz that his vision for 100 per cent water and electricity connection for the people of Benaulim will be fulfilled by me. When I had come to seek his blessings before the polls, Monte has requested me to take his vision forward by providing water and electricity in the constituency for every household,” Venzy said.
Saying that Monte Cruz had left behind a name for himself by building the Fatorda stadium in a record time, Venzy said Monte represents symbol of proper planning, a non-corrupt mode of execution of governance.
He has appealed to the seven sarpanchas of Benaulim constituency, including Benaulim, Colva, Seraulim, Varca, Orlim, Carmona and Cavelossim to bring to his notice whether any household is without water and power connection for whatever reason.
“I take this responsibility as an MLA to ensure that people get the water and power connections. Let us sort out this issue. I will make this dream come true for Monte Cruz,” he added.
