The largest trade and investment event to ever happen in the State - Vibrant Goa-Global Expo and Summit “ begins today (October 17) at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Bambolim.
The summit is going to bring more than 500 delegates from foreign countries and many more delegates from various parts of India to the State. The event is getting a huge response as 200 overseas delegates have already arrived on the morning of October 16 itself.
The State government has committed itself to the event, with the CM Pramod Sawant extended his full support to the summit. Sawant himself will address the gathering at Vibrant Goa on Thursday.
Apart from him, Minister of Information Technology Jennifer Monserrate and Minister of Industries, Trade and Commerce Vishwajit Rane will also address delegates at the event.
The event will see participation from several top industrialists from Goa, including Avdhoot Timblo (Chairman, Fomento Group), Manoj Caculo (President, Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry), Srinivas V Dempo (Chairman, Dempo Group) and Mangirish Salelkar (President, Goa Technology Association).
On October 17, there will be country-specific session aimed at discussing how trade and investment opportunities can be explored between Goa and countries like the US, Qatar, Canada, Oman, Malaysia, UAE, Singapore, Nepal and Bhutan.
On October 18, there will be sessions on emerging technologies, opportunities in the education sector, real estate and construction sector and angel investors. Start-ups will pitch for investment at Goa Business School IT Summit, which will happen alongside the event on October 18 itself.
