Sankhali Municipal Council (SMC) Vice-Chairperson Damodar Ghadi passed away on Saturday evening.
The final rites will be performed at the Virdi crematorium on Sunday at 11 am.
A two-term councillor of SMC, Ghadi had recently joined the BJP.
In a tweet, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant offered his condolences saying: “Deeply saddened by the passing away of Damodar Ghadi, Vice Chairperson of Sankhali Municipal Council. His contribution to public life will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.”
SMC Chairperson Yashwant Madkar and all councillors have mourned the demise of Ghadi and offered their condolences to the bereaved family.
