OLD GOA: St Andre MLA Vishnu Surya Naik Wagh has requested Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to find the exact cause into the death of priest-turned-activist Bismarque Dias.

In a letter written to Parsekar, Wagh said "Dias, Goa's firebrand environmentalist and social activist, had died under mysterious circumstances."

“His friends and relatives are not ready to believe that his death was accidental. Many people have expressed fear that somebody might have conspired to physically eliminate the Fighter Father,” stated Wagh.

“Taking into consideration the general public opinion, I hereby request your goodself to appoint a Special Investigation Team SIT to Goa Police under the leadership of senior police officers to find the exact cause of Bismarque' s death and expel all sorts of suspicions in this regard,” Wagh has said in his letter.

Wagh recalled that Bismarque was his classmate in Dhempe College and he used to be an enthusiastic member of Wagh's cultural troupe.
