The woman apparently maintained close ties with Nazareth and this had angered Sequeira.
Sequeira reportedly accompanied the woman to a restaurant where they met Nazareth. During the course of their conversation, Sequeira asked Nazareth to stay away from the woman.
The woman had been the cause for many of their arguments and this was one of the issues that had led Nazareth to allegedly stab Sequeira a few months ago.
After Nazareth was released on bail, Sequeira had decided to take revenge by killing Nazareth on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, police are on the lookout for Sequeira and his associates who are being linked to the crime.
