Residents of Honda in Sattari voiced anger over water scarcity, garbage and security issues in the village.

Their concerns were raised at the Honda Gram Sabha, which was chaired by Sarpanch Shivdas Madkar and attended by Deputy Sarpanch Siya Bodke, Panch members Pramod Gawde, Resham Gavkar, Sumedha Madkar, Nilesh Satardekar, Panchayat Secretary Mula Vark, and Narayan Sawant from the Valpoi Block Development Office as observer.

Residents from Sonshi claimed that youth roam in the area at night and feared that anti-social activities could be on the rise. They also complained about water scarcity, forcing them to travel long distances to fetch water. The villagers also demanded that the panchayat urgently make arrangements for an adequate water supply.

Residents also stated that garbage is being dumped in the open at several places within Honda village, increasing the risk of disease. They demanded that the Panchayat keep a close watch and take strict action against those responsible for dumping garbage in open spaces.

Responding to these concerns, Sarpanch Shivdas Madkar assured that the Panchayat would address their concerns by following them up with the concerned authorities.

Discussions were also held on circulars received from the government and correspondence from villagers.

Earlier, Madkar welcomed the gathered villagers while Panchayat Secretary Mula Vark read the minutes of the previous Gram Sabha. Deputy Sarpanch Siya Bodke later proposed the vote of thanks.
