Water is a precious commodity and several areas across Goa struggle for water supply. However, in Indira Nagar-Chimbel, water is being wasted due to a leak in the valve of the main water pipeline.
And it has not been for days but several weeks that water is going to waste even as villagers have highlighted the issue on social media.
A local, Ajay Kholkar, said water has been going to waste for several weeks now.
“We had even highlighted the issue on social media and were hoping that authorities concerned would take action to resolve the issue. But it’s been a week now and no action is forthcoming from authorities,” decried Kholkar.
He demanded that the PWD should repair the leaking valve at the earliest so that water does not go to waste.
