Flanked by Navelim sarpanch Frank Fernandes, Rumdaml Panch Pooja Badekar and a resident of Rumdamol Aslam Bijapu, the sitting MLA said that he would not contest any more elections after completing all development works if given an opportunity to represent the people for another term.
Avertano pointed out that he is one MLA who has completed almost all the promises made in the 2012 election manifesto. He, however, pointed out that many works, which has been initiated in the last five years, are either underway or will start after the code of conduct is lifted after the election. The first-time MLAs said that around seven indoor stadiums in the constituency have been taken up for development, adding that work on the indoor stadium will commence after
the election.
