PANAJI
The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday launched a new campaign slogan "Goyant Badal Jaay, Kejriwal Jaay".
The slogan was launched by AAP Goa Vice President Valmiki Naik, AAP National Youth Vice President Cecille Rodrigues & AAP leader Dr Vibhas Prabhudesai at their Panaji office.
Speaking at the launch of the slogan, Naik said, "today the politics by the BJP and Congress is the politics of lies and cheating Goenkars. Goenkars have seen that the only alternative to this is the politics of action and change that only AAP is indulging in".
"Goenkars know that only Arvind Kejriwal does exactly as he says. When Kejriwal says he will give free 24x7 electricity Goenkars know that he will give that. When Kejriwal says he will provide employment Goenkars know he will give that. That’s why "Goyant Badal Jaay, Kejriwal Jaay".
Cecille on her part said, "in many families we are seeing the youngsters are not employed, in some we are seeing that even the primary bread earner has lost his job. In such a scenario it is only AAP that has stood by Goenkars in their time of need. Goenkars have realised that a party that can bring so much change without a single MLA deserves a chance to rule Goa".
In the Veej Andolan, 2,93,000 Goan households registered their support for Kejriwal's first guarantee of free 24x7 electricity. During the pandemic AAP ration bags were ubiquitous as the party filled the gap left by the BJP-run government.
The government was so shaken by Kejriwal's employment guarantee that not only did they take 24 hours to react to the announcement but when they did they made so little sense that the videos went viral in Goa as comedy shows.
The BJP found itself unable to answer why it wasn't able to provide jobs for Goans. In large parts of Goa almost every family has a story of people losing jobs.
The pandemic took a huge toll on tourism based jobs and the mining ban has pushed a large number of Goans to poverty.
AAP has been aggressively growing in the State on the back of its strong door-to-door outreach program and activities that help common Goenkars.
The Party has organised more than 300 Veej Andolan meetings across Goa, set up corner Oxygen testing centres, and went door-to-door with an Oximeter service.
During the height of the pandemic AAP Volunteers worked day and night to help Goenkars get everything from medical care to oxygen cylinders.
