Vasco police have registered a case after a woman was allegedly attacked and bitten by a dog while she was walking along a road at Pixem Dongri, Mormugao, on Thursday afternoon.
According to the complaint filed by Rhea Victoria D’Souza of Pixem Dongri, the incident occurred on September 17 at around 4.30 pm. The complaint names Milagris D’Silva, also a resident of Pixem Dongri, as the accused and owner of the dog named Tyson.
The complainant alleged that Milagris, knowing that the dog was aggressive and could pose a danger to human life, left it loose outside the premises. The dog allegedly ran aggressively towards Rhea while she was walking on the road, jumped on her and bit her, causing injuries.
Based on the complaint, Vasco police registered a case against Milagris under Sections 291 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Akanksh Fadte Dessai of Vasco Police Station under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik and guidance of Mormugao DySP SP Gurudas Kadam.
