Woman knocked down by car in Seraulim dies

Another female pedestrian died in a road accident in the jurisdiction of Colva Police Station, this time at Seraulim.
Colva police informed that the pedestrian, Minguelina Viegas, a resident of Benaulim, was knocked down by a Baleno car while she was crossing the road near Reliance Park Co-operative Housing Society, Seraulim-Colva, on October 2. The victim succumbed to her injuries on Sunday while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.
Police informed that the driver of the Baleno car, Steve Alfanso, a resident of Margao, allegedly drove his car in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life, while proceeding from Margao towards Colva. The vehicle struck the pedestrian who was crossing the road.
The police have registered an FIR under Sections 281, 125(b), and 106(1) of the BNS 2023.
