The Women Police suspect the self-defense trainer, arrested on Monday for allegedly sexually abusing a teenage boy, has victimized more students undergoing training in his institute. The accused was arrested after an NGO lodged a complaint alleging he had sexually abused a 15-year-old boy on the pretext of medical check-ups over a period of one year.
The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) remanded him to two days of police custody on Tuesday.
“He will be interrogated. We suspect there are more victims to this case and hope the survivors come forward to lodge a complaint against him,” an officer said.
As per the complaint to the Women & Children’s Protection Unit, the trainer, also a founder of a self-defense training institute “took advantage of his position and on the pretext of medical check up on several occasions sexually abused his student, who is a minor.” The offense occurred from November 2021 to August 2022 and on October 30, 2022.
