The famous Kesarval medicinal springs will soon be rejuvenated and the project will be handed over to the Quelossim Panchayat.
Cortalim MLA Anton Vas speaking to reporters after a cleanliness drive said that rejuvenation of the Kesarval springs was his dream project and the project has been tendered already.
"This project was also in my manifesto and I have been continuously following up on this project with the Tourism department to take up this project. The medicinal springs have become very dirty and the flow of the water has also reduced and we wanted to rejuvenate, develop and beautify this place. I have been told that the project worth Rs 5 crores has already been tendered and the work on this project will start soon. The project will then be handed over to the Panchayat for further upkeep and maintenance and we can have a tourism boost at this site and revive it to its previous glory," said Vas.
Vas said that after successfully getting the Zonal Agriculture Office and Water resources department in the Cortalim Market complex, he wanted to focus on development of water bodies.
" I have many other projects in the pipeline, main of which is the long pending underpass road at Cansaulim. This project is also my priority and I want to get this done in quick time to reduce the inconvenience by the people of Cansaulim who have to wait for long time during train crossings. I also want to develop all the water bodies in the Cortalim constituency within my tenure besides developing the lake at Nauta that has been recently declared as a wet land and will now be beautified as a new tourism site with a strong presence of different birds. These are some main projects that I need to complete within my tenure as a MLA and get my dreams come true, " said Vas.
