OLD GOA
After the festival break of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Bhoma locals have renewed their agitation against the road widening project.
And, on Sunday, the locals sought divine intervention in their fight against the project.
The locals prayed before the deities of all the temples which would be affected by the road widening project.
Further, the Bhoma locals have decided to hold a mega public meeting in the village in which they have invited people from all over Goa who are fighting the government on various fronts.
Speaking to reporters local Sanjay Naik informed that they prayed at all the temples to give proper directions to the politicians, who are out to destroy the very existence of Bhoma locals.
“We have asked the Gods to guide these politicians in understanding the sufferings the people are going through because of the project,” Naik stated.
Further, Naik condemned the statements made that the Bhoma locals are politicizing the issue with the help of the Opposition.
“We had approached members of the ruling party, including the local MLA. However we did not get any support from them. That’s why we decided to approach the Opposition MLAs,” Naik informed while adding that it does not mean that they are politicizing the issue.
“This government is troubling the Goans all over and we have organized a mega public meeting in Bhoma wherein there will be people who are fighting the government on various fronts,” Naik informed.
“We are trying to bring together the people to fight the government on a common platform,” Naik added while urging people to participate in large numbers at the meeting which will be held on October 15 from 4 pm onwards.
