The work to build a 300-metre long promenade near Our Lady of Health Church, Sancoale, which started a few days ago is expected to be completed on May 21, to coincide with the inauguration of the church, which has undergone extension and renovation.
Speaking to The Goan, Sancoale Sarpanch Ramakant Borkar said all efforts are being made to complete the work by May 21 to coincide with the Church inauguration.
“Laying of pavers may get delayed since it has been ordered from Bangalore. However, we will try to complete the pathway, lighting and placing of sofas by May 21,” informed Borkar at whose initiative the work has been sponsored by Sancoale-based BITS Pilani at a cost of Rs 70 lakh.
