A worker engaged in renovation work at the Bhausaheb Bandodkar memorial site in Miramar was found dead on Friday, police said.

The incident occurred while renovation of the samadhi of Goa’s first chief minister, Dayanand Bandodkar, is underway. Panaji police have registered a case of unnatural death and are probing the circumstances.

Authorities are expected to conduct a detailed inquiry to ascertain responsibility and ensure safety measures at the site, which holds significant historical and cultural importance for the State.
