The world’s longest incense stick, a 125-foot creation named ‘Purple Jyot’, was unveiled and lit at the International Purple Fest Goa 2025, marking a world record and celebrating inclusion and accessibility. The event, held as part of the global festival that champions equality and participation, blended tradition, innovation, and sensory experience.
The ‘Purple Jyot’ — handcrafted over 26 days by a team of 20 skilled artisans using sustainable methods — stood as a symbol of unity and resilience. As the flame reached its towering tip, the air filled with a soothing purple fragrance, creating a moment of shared joy and pride.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Swami Brahmachari Kamleshwaranand ji, Minister for Social Welfare Subhash Phal Desai, Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Tanavade, Varsha Naik (Director, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities), Prasanna Acharya (IAS), Umesh D (Production, N Ranga Rao & Sons Pvt Ltd), social worker Sunil Deodhar, Dr Danish (Brand Partner, N Ranga Rao & Sons Pvt Ltd), and Taha Haaziq (Secretary, Goa State Commission for Disabilities) were among those present.
