Yoga camp held at Ponda
PONDA: About 250 people took part in the yoga camp organised by Patanjali Research Foundation and Patanjali Yog Samiti-Ponda at Bhausaheb Bandodkar Maidan, Bandora, on Sunday.
The camp was inaugurated by State chief of Bharat Swabhiman Kamlesh Bandekar, while Pramod Priolkar, Dinesh Naik, Nitin Mardolkar, Suresh Morajkar, Mohan Amshekar and others were present.
The participants performed several yoga practices and learnt various aasanas. About 65 people were checked for obesity. The participants were taught 20 yoga practices to get rid of obesity. The message of ‘no harm-weight loss’ was also given. Tests of anthropometric assessment, sagittal abdominal diameter, body composition test, hand grip strength, leg and back strength and bio-chemical tests and blood sugar were conducted.
