Youth arrested on charges of raping minor in Bicholim

The Bicholim police on Friday arrested a youth on charges of raping a 15-year-old girl from Bicholim.

According to reports, the Bicholim police received a wireless message that a minor girl from Bicholim area was pregnant at the GMC.

The police began an investigation and spoke to the victim. The girl’s mother then lodged a complaint at the Bicholim police station.

The girl revealed the name of the suspect, Arman Khan (19) of Bicholim. He was then arrested and during interrogation, allegedly confessed having sexually abused the girl six-seven months ago.

PSI Manisha Pednekar is investigating the matter under the guidance of Bicholim PI Mahesh Gadekar.
