A youth got electrocuted while working on a barge at a repair yard at Vasco.
According to reports, Vasco police received a call from the Sub District Hospital Chicalim stating that one male person was brought dead from Abhishek Engineering Yard.
Vasco police later found out that the deceased was Mahesh Kumar Yadav (21), a native of Jaipur-Rajasthan but residing at Chicalim, who was working at Abhishek Engineering Yard.
According to Vasco police, the incident occurred at around 5 pm while the deceased was working inside a barge docked at Abhishek Engineering
Yard.
Yadav was reportedly handling a halogen light when he got electrocuted and fell unconscious. He was rushed to Sub District hospital at Chicalim where he was declared brought
dead. Vasco police later rushed to the site and conducted an inquest. Vasco police also recorded detailed statement of co-workers of the deceased. Vasco police has registered a case of unnatural death and PSI Sarvesh Sawant of Vasco police
station is further investigating the case.
