A youth from Ucassaim who was seriously injured in a road mishap on the national highway at Socorro died ofinjuries while undergoing treatment at the GMC hospital in Bambolim.
The accident took place late in the night on December 12,when Alisten Joseph Rodrigues (23) was riding a two-wheeler and did not notice the barricades on the national highway. The two-wheeler rammed into the barricades and Alisten was seriously injured in the mishap.
He was undergoing treatment at GMS hospital at Bambolim for the past eight days, but succumbed to injuries on Thursday morning. Porvorim PSI Pratik Tulskar in investigating the case.
