Verna police on Friday arrested a man Sourabh Kumar from Zuarinagar on charges of criminal intimidation and extortion
Kumar was arrested under Sections 385, 504, 506 (ii) IPC following a complaint by Rati Kant Tripathi.
Tripathi in his complaint claimed the accused Sourabh Kumar had demanded an amount of Rs 1 lakh from him and upon refusal, abused and threatened him and his staff with dire consequences and further threatened to cause loss to him if his demand was not fulfilled.
PSI Sanket Talkar of Verna police is carrying out a further investigation under the supervision of PI Diago Gracias and the guidance of DySP Rajesh Kumar.
